Sabine Melzer

Sabine is studying the chemical composition of NZ frog skin secretions for her PhD research.  She is questioning whether skin chemicals differ between frogs of different populations and is also testing the activity of these secretions against various frog diseases.  Prior to her PhD, Sabine completed an MSc in Wales looking at the effects of UV on newts.
