Kim
has recently completed her MSc thesis which examines the role of different modes in the chemical communication systems of Leiopelma pakeka.  She has used Y-mazes and lab experiments recording the interactions between individual L. pakeka to explore what native frogs do when they are introduced to frog “strangers.”  She has also investigated the peptide composition of the frogs’ skin secretions. She will graduate in December 2009.
