Kalinka and Phil talk to Radio NZ's Allison Balance about freezing frogs (click here)
Kalinka's Masters thesis examined the freeze tolerance of frogs and the effects of freezing on their nervous system. She looked at the neurophysiological mechanisms of cold hardiness and freeze tolerance in Litoria ewingii and related changes in the cold hardiness of these frogs to seasonal microhabitat variation. She graduated with Distinction in 2009. To hear about Kalinka's freezing frogs click here.
